bombarda statusas T sritis Gynyba apibrėžtis Vienas seniausių pabūklų. Pirmykštė bombarda buvo viduramžių katapulta – apgulos akmenų mėtyklė, o XV–XVII a. bombarda –trumpavamzdis pabūklas, šaudantis bombomis (akmeniniais arba geležiniais apvaliaisiais sviediniais). Bombarda dažniausiai naudota tvirtovėms apgulti ir ginti. Didelių bombardų kalibras iki 1 000 mm, masė 14 000–19 000 kg, bombos masė 300–400 kg, vamzdžio ilgis 5–6 kalibrai. Iššaudavo keletą kartų per dieną, bombos nulėkdavo 400–700 m. Kartais to laikotarpio rankinis šaunamasis ginklas t. p. buvo vadinamas bombarda.
